Guys, im considering a 36 spectre to either replace my Black Thunder or to have along with it. I have never owned a cat so i was seeing if someone could give me some info on these boats. Speeds with 500efi, 525 and 575s??? Do they ride good, porpise, etc. Any info would be great. thanks

I have a 36 ft Spectre with approx 650 hp no blowers runs approx 118 mph, they do porpoise around 70 mph more in smooth water rougher water not much. I use trim tab to stabilze if cruising at that speed. Great rough water boat with lots of room inside and under with pleasure models. I came from a 32 V bottom and have been happy with the boat. Just dont use much because of kids activities.

I have a 2001 Spectre 36 Poker Run edition. It has twin 500EFI, and runs about 112 mph with 36P Bravos. I usually run 34P bravos for best all around performance. I does hop a little bit at 70 mph, but I can live with that. Handles rough water great, the EFI motors have been super reliable, good on fuel, and really get the boat moving. I can cruise on plane at as low as 21MPH, and idle all day long with these motors. The Poker Run boat has F16 style canopies, which really protect the driver, and give it a look all it's own. It sure draws attention here in Iowa! Anyway, I love my boat and would recommend them to anyone. The ONLY reason I would part with my boat, would be to get a boat with a cabin........but then you sacrafice speed. Everything has a trade off! Get the Cat!
