Nobody knows this boat? Then how much do you guys think a new lower unit will cost? How fast should it go with is setup?I have only seen a couple of the 30's run how do they handle, are they good boats?Frank

the 30 is a pretty good running boat. A conservative set up with 300x's should see 106 or so. you could probably get a bit more if you raise the motors a bit more and play with props. you just have to watch the water pressure

It has Power Lift on the motors.....I have never been a outboard guy but these are to move the height of the motors when driving the boat?

CMC Powerlift jackplates can be "manual" or "electric". I would bet yours are manual - meaning you physically set them when the boat is on the trailer. If you want to adjust them, you need to manually do so. The electric ones will move up and/or down at the flick of a switch, usually mounted on the dash.

The nosecone should be about 1 1/2 inches above the bottom of the boat.

the jack plates on the 30's were manual ones. I know there wasn't one built with electric jack plates while I was there.

Check out screamandfly for a new gear case and prop. That's a really good setup.
