I agree its a buyers market. However, the sellers don't seem to understand that. When you look at the boat market, a 36 cat should be easy to get a smoking deal. Gas prices are soaring, cat insurance is ridiculous, and quite frankly people just don't have the cash to dish out $15,000 a summer to go boating once a weekend. Every seller I've spoken to thinks their boat worth $15,000-$20,000 over their value. The conversation is always quite weird in that aspect. The seller usually goes on a rant on how bad the market is and how they can't afford this and that. Yet when you get to discussing price, they won't budge over $2,000. What a joke. If they haven't gotten even a single buyer to come look at their boat, its not priced correctly. This boat, Cats Ass has been the only price drop I've seen..... and to be honest the guy is still dreaming with his $80,000 price. If these guys WERE getting action on their boats, I'd understand the price justification. But when you have 10 36 spectres in the classifieds and not one of them moving, that should be sign for these guys to lower the price to a justifiable moving point. Maybe I'm nuts. When I originally listed my boat I had gotten 2 hits in the first 2 months, but nothing came of them. I then dropped my boat $5k over the past 3 months and I've had 4 people come to look at the boat who're unable to get financing. Though no-ones pulled the trigger, at least I know the boat is priced right. Somehow, the owners 36 spectre's go months without anyone going to look at the boat and still neglect to drop their price.

Look on e-bay, three of them listed right at the moment. (including the one that was wrecked) There was one up in Panama city, Fl. that had a wrap aroud windsheild, it might be worth the extra money.

I have a 36 Spectre Poker Run Edition. I have watched the price of similar units drop dramatically in the last few years, and I really hate it! However, what other CAT can you buy for the $$$ money that will do what the Spectre will???? $75,000 to $100,000 for a 36 ft. boat that will reliably run over 100mph seems like a pretty good bargin to me! If you get a Spectre with Mercury power they are pretty fuel efficient, run season after season without issue, and are very safe in big water. Anyways, if you buy one now for say....$75,000, how much more can it ever depreciate!!!!
