Default looking at 36, need opinions/issues/good boat?

Can anyone tell me if the 36 is a good boat for Sarasota waters? I want one with big power and #6 drives. I have heard the good and the bad but, want to hear from people that actually own one. Are they too small?

Thank You,

JS

i don't think too small should be a concern. i think any 36' cat is big enough for all but the roughest stuff out there. If you want BIG power and 6's, i probably would look at some 32 or 36 skaters, there seems to be more of them around with that combo. If you want 600-750 HP i would go with the spectre, if you are talking 1000-1100 HP, i would go skater... and that is from a spectre guy, just my .02 though, happy shopping....

If you want one with big power and sixes, there is a guy in NJ who built one named Otto. He had it up for sale last year, but not sure if it went. I think his OSO name is either 36Spectre, or Spectre36. He has ballast tank etc with 1000 or larger. Good luck, I love my 36 and boat in the Chesapeake Bay with 600 HP and XRs.
