Fountain vs Sunsation
Need some advice from the Sunsation crowd. I own a 2002 Fountain 29' Fever with a 575 SCI. Love the boat, great ride, egronomics, runs low 80's all day long. Time to move up to a twin in the 32' range, seems like the 32 Dominator SS is a prime candidate.
Couple of questions: no windshield on the SS, how much does the race fairing deflect wind? Nice thing about my Fountain is you can sit down and escape the wind stream, or stand up and let your face peel back. Are there any wind deflectors available for this boat?
Any dealers interested in taking the Fountain on trade? 200 hours, fresh water, trailer, lots of options, boat is a 9.9 out of 10?

I think they may offer a windshield option on the SS. They did on the dominator and do on the 288.

Yes you can get a window on the SS. I think the window boats look awsome.... Not a SS but here is the look.....

Thanks for the picture, windshield looks great. Probably buying current stock or used, I don't see many (if any) current boats with the Taylor windshield. I did see a Dominator with a 4" Lexan windscreen added to the race fairing, anyone know about this, how well does it work, who makes it?

Re: Fountain vs Sunsation
After owning a fairing boat I'd never go back to a windshield.
With electric bolsters you should be able to get low enough to get out of the wind (cept maybe your forehead)
Only time I've ever complained about the wind was at nite on a humid night during the Mayfly hatch....

Thanks for the info, I really like the look of the race fairing, and if it works day in and day out, except for a few bugs, I can live with that!

Nothing like the Sunsation, Joe and Wayne show the MOST interest in making the best product and keeping the customer happy then all the other manufactures combined.
