I'm confused.
Why would it be safe to assume a comparison of one boat with an HO and the other boat with a mag? |

With a MAG the 288 should run in the high 60's respectively.
Here is a shot of a 288 we have in stock. This one has the MAG HO. What type of info are you looking for? Performance numbers? Optional equiptment? PM me with your email address Five and I will send you a bunch of pictures of them. Tom |

Becasue you would get the same performance out of a Baja 26 OL with an HO as you would a 288 with a MAG (could be worng here). An HO in a 26 OL runs upper 60's and I thought a 288 runs the same with a MAG. Looks like I am a little off on this thought according to some recent posts.

Bill at Harbour Marine has a 288 with a 375hp 496 in it. He may jump in on this thread and be able to tell you the performance numbers of it as well.

Five cent worth,
I run a 2004 288 on Lake Norman (I believe the only 288) with a 496HO, my buddy runs a 2003 25 OL with a 496 HO, top speed is between 66-68 and we are both dead even. However when we run in Wilmington in saltwater and chop I walk away from him. In regards to someone's question about overall length the difference is less than 6 inches from prop to nose as I have had them both in my garage side by side. Come over to the sunsation website and send me a pm, and I will get you a ride in my 288 on Norman once the lake level comes up! |
