Default 2008 32 Dominator 496 Mag's, how fast

I am looking at a brand new 2008 32 Dominator SST with twin 496 Mag's (385HP) and Bravo 1's. No frig, or other heavy accessories, just a pump out head. What would I expect for a top end speed? Also, what props are suggested, coming with non-ladded Bravo 30p's. I was really lloking for something with 496 HO's, but this may be too good of a deal to pass up. I have always liked the Sunsation boats, friend has a 2001 32 Dominoator with the single step and 6.2's, one of the best handling and balanced boats I have ever driven.

Boat will run mid 70's with 496's. It is twin stepped over your buddy's 01 32 but it is about 600 lbs heavier and the cabin is monsterous compared to the older 32's (which are really a partial step, not considered a full step). The boat you are looking at is an SSR not SST (that is a Baja). I believe it is at a dealer in the midwest and I bought my 04 32 from them a few years ago. Smooth transaction and they delivered the boat to me in FL.

Ditto, right around 75. I'd probably stick with the prop that it comes with. Wayne does a lot of prop testing on his boats so you can count on it being pretty well dialed in with that prop. You could lab it if you wanted. But I doubt it would make a noticeable difference, maybe 1 mph. Blades will be thinner and more susceptible to dings.

Which dealer are you working with? Hilltop has a blue and gray 32 SSR, one of the nicest looking paint I've seen on an SSR.

I think they run in the top 70's...Tom can just about hang with the HO boats with his open bow and thats alot of extra weight!!
Some headers and lab props should get the Mag boat into the low 80's!!

Not with 375 HP 496s, no way are you hitting 80s unless all the stars align.

I would have to say that 75 sounds about right. I have a buddy that has a 32 ssr with HO's and is running low 80's So i would figuere you would loose about 5-7 mph with just the mags. Great boat and runs verry well.

Give me a call at the factory. I know exactly which boat you are looking at. It is a very nice boat that you will not be dissappointed in. The guys are right you will be running in the mid 70's with the mags. Looking forward to hearing from you.

With a 2007 MCOB SS I am consistently 77-78mph and the boat hit a high of 79.5mph. And thats with an open bow and every compartment in the boat loaded with kid and wife crap. So if its a good deal I wouldn't pass it up because it doesn't have HOs.

Stock exhaust and stock 30 pitch props, GPS reading. If you like the dream meter, that will hit 86mph

so, do you have the 496 HOs or the 496 mags?

I meant HO's not Mags, mine does not have HO's, just 375hp a side. I still have embedded in my head the 454's were base and Mag.

Oh, and I am the Tom that BO-G13 is referring to.
