Default Thinking about buying a Sunsation

In the market for a boat. Looking for a 25 - 29 ft. closed bow single engine. Ran across this 2007...

http://www.thomasmarine.com/Page.asp...at-288525.aspx

Opinions...?

How would that setup do on that boat? 525 and ITS drive sounds killer. What top speed are we looking at? Didn't know if any of you guys have played around with extension boxes on that hull.
It doesnt specify which model 288 it is, SSR, etc...

They don't have a price listed, just the 110k msrp. Whats that boat worth??

Thanks in advance guys.

I believe it is an SS.
We have sold a few with the 525 package and they run strong into the 80's. Matt Miller put and extension box on his 288 S and it ran really well. He would have more input on that.

I have 2 288's for sale right now as well.

This is our 2009 Signature Series SSR with a 496 MAG HO.

Thats a great looking boat, I'm curious what you guys think it's worth. It's a new boat but 3 model years old. How would it compare to the exact same boat that is 2010 (price wise) Either way what a nice piece.

Thomas marine isn't far from me...I looked at his 06 dominator with the 525's but he didn't want to budge off the price for a bunch of unexplained reasons...I'll be glad to swing by and look it over for ya...I need more drive oil to finish my service any way.

Curious how the sportmaster runs on that boat!! I know they do not work to well on the 32, but the extension box may help with that too!!

Same here. This should be an 80 MPH boat easily....

That would be sweet.... See what his asking price is too. From what I can tell the interior doesnt look all that plush. Looks kinda like a no frills boat. Could be wrong but the pics dont show much....

That is a sharp boat! wow that has everything I really like the ITS system on it, nice clean look that baby will cook. The fastest 288 that I have been on is one that Mahopac did with the 525 that baby pulled like no other I was shocked with the mid range and top end would throw you back.

It is a really good looking boat. I tried to trade my 1999 288 on it twice and buy it outrite once, but they are not willing to trade or negotiate very much. The story I got on the boat was someone special ordered it and then had some personal issues and could not take the boat when it came in. I hate those guys got hung with those boats, but with the market as depressed as it is I think they could have sold them multiple times if they were to offer them at the current market. With that said they seem to be super nice guys and I hope they get them sold. I would love to have either on of them.

Yea, called them and they dont wanna come off 110k at all. At least not over the phone. I would think with the boat market the way it is they would be willin to negotiate a little. Still curious what that boat is actually worth.
