70 maybe,my 292 Formula does 70-71. That boat is a little bigger, they are great engines it depends what you want to do with the boat. If you want to run around at 60 its fine if you want to be able to run 80 then this is not the boat.

I have mine listed in the for sale section right now, the boat has ran best of 72 GPS, this summer we ran a poker run with four men and full fuel and ran 68/9 GPS and the ride is great! My wife and I bought the boat for cruising more than all out running. We cruise @ 2100 RPM'S everywhere around the lake. I will make you a great deal on this boat, you will not find a better 32' MCOB on the market! Oh and free rack storage till April of 2012 included in sale to save for transport or a trailer.

I have also been wondering how the 6.2's perform. Does anyone have an idea of the difference in fuel consumption between the 288 with the 496 HO and the 32 with the twin 6.2's???

Save yourself the hassle and get the 32. Within one season in a 288 you'll wish you did.

No offense, but if you're worried about fuel, stick to golf. Cause boating isn't gonna be up your alley.

I can't speak for the 496's but Sat with twin 6.2s in a boat about the same weight ran 120 miles.I was mostly between 4400 and 4700 RPM I burned about 80 gallons.
