it is a little tight in the 32 but most side by sides are anyway...water pump is kinda a pain. Normal maintenance i a breeze as long as the numb skull who installs oil filters did not use a 10' cheater bar to tighten em up like they did on mine :angry-smiley-055:

Hey everyone,
I've been looking at MCOB boats for a while and keep coming back to Sunsation as my first pick. Got a great new job, and I am ready to buy but I'm not finding anything I'd like. I see a couple great looking 32s but I'm not sure I want to pay the extra marina fees quite yet. But I might do it for the right deal. Ideally I'd like to get a 28' with a 496 HO or better. If it's in Texas or somewhat close, even better. I'd like to keep it in the low 50s for price. Anyone have some pointers? Thanks! |

Go to the Sunsation website forum, plenty of boats. There was a guy from texas selling a nice 28 with a 525. His login was movenonup. The 32 is a pain to work on, but worth it having twins. Has saved my butt once already getting me home.

I went with 288 and have no regrets, here on most lakes inland the 288 works great unless you go to LOTO on weekends the 32 would be better. I too would like to move up to a 32 in few years but then you do have twice the expense with twins, fuel, insurance, maintence, etc. Sunsation builds very nice boat either way. The 288 525 MCOB Sunsation mentioned in TX is very, very nice condition, I looked at it last fall.

Have you had a chance to ride in both yet?

I've driven both and if the coin allows, go with a 32. You'll love all that nose sticking out in front of you when the water gets rough. You'll also like that second motor when your IAC valve or impeller shoots craps while you're out on the water.

I have yet to ride in one at all actually. I have only seen two on Lake Travis. Not a lot out here. Fountain and Formula everywhere you look though.
