Trailer for Rocket
Does anyone have a Rocket on an aluminum trailer? If so what make and model? Must be aluminum, I need to save the weight and boat in salt water. I have researched several brands but am getting conflicting advice on the model to buy, 22-24 or 24-26.
Capacity is not a problem since most are in the 6000# range.

I'm assuming you have a 24' boat? My experience is that if you have a 24' boat, go with the 24-26' trailer. I have a 26' boat and have the 26-28 FastLoad, which is basically the same as an aluminum I beam rocket. I like my boat to fit on the trailer, not hang off the back a mile. My winch is positioned all the way forward and the boat hangs off the back 1 foot plus the length of the swim platform. Looks good this way and it gives me a little more tongue weight which I prefer.... Also, take a look at the fast load in the classifieds I have for sale, you might get some ideas on extra bunks for support.... Without a doubt, get torsion axles, disc brakes and stainless package.... you won't be sorry.... it makes it rust proof, worry proof and looking good. Next time, I'll tell them not to put graphics on it so I can do it myself.. Good luck!!!

East Coast B,
Yes, the Rocket is 23' 7", no step.
I am definitly going with torsion, disks, and stainless hardware.
The problem is some manufacturers are recommending 22-24
while others are saying 24-26. Since I'll probably have it shipped from Florida I definitly want it to be the right size. I don't want to
get a 24-26 if its not necessary because of the extra cost and
also more weight.
Thanks for your input. Your trailer in the classifieds looks great.

The cost of the next size up and the difference in weight is minimal to say the least. I'd rather pay that extra cost than find out that my boat hangs way off the back. With the bigger trailer, you can still slide the winch back a bit if you need. Gives you a little room for adjustment. You can make a big trailer smaller, but if you get a trailer that is too small, you can't make it bigger.....
