NICE!!!! You are going to love that boat. I hope to see you and your boat at the rally. From what I have read from another "step hull" buyer, you going to smoke most other 288's.

Z.. thanks for the compliment.... I'm stuck in between props right now.. the labbed 26 is not enough prop and even having it re-pitched to a 27 might not be enough,, trying to get a labbed 28 to try..

actual number's

stock 26 B1 runs 4950-5000 @ 70-71 mph

have had the labbed 26 at the rev limiter,, 5150 @ 73 mph still had another 150 rpms in her..

possibliites..

re-pitched the 26 to a 27 and still run 5,050 to 5,100 @ 74 mph ( pretty high I think )
run a labbed 28 at approx. 4,900 and approx. 74 mph.

seems to me the re-pitched 26 to a 27 would work well in the dead of summer heat and the labbed 28 would work well in the spring and fall..

P.S. all tests were done with pretty full fuel and 3 adults minimum on board.. so the RPM numbers would only go higher as fuel decreased..

at this point just trying to buy a labbed 28 to test,, maybe have the 26 repitched and keep the labbed 26 and labbed 28 and sell my stock 26.. Thank for asking. :)

Remember Thats Not A Stock Lab Job On The 26.the Stock Lab Was 4 Mph Slower Than It Is Now.merc Removed Cup For Rpm But Added Cup Around The End Of The Blade For More Bow Lift To Bring It To Where It Is Now.if You Call Merc And Use My Name They Can Tell You All The Specs On The Prop.
