Default What ever happened to Kook?

I think that was his name, can't remember for sure.

I remember reading the threads about the accident and the injuries to his friend. Did his friend every recover? If so, does anyone know how he is doing?

Did Kook sell his boat? Does he still post any on here?

Seems odd that someone who posted that much would disappear so quickly like that without a trace.

Buck,

I seem to remember hearing he did sell his boat but not 100% sure. It would be nice to hear how his friend recouperated. Hope they are both well.

Kook did sell his boat. I was talking to the guy who bought it just yesterday. He seems to be having good luck with it.
According to Sy the friend is still in a coma as of a couple weeks ago when I was talking to him about my insurance premiums and why it cost so much. If the friend is in fact still in a coma, I could see how someone could drop out of the sport to the extreme that Kook seems to have given the circumstances.

One of the last posts I remember from him and it may well have been his last, was that he was out of boating and signing out. Terrible circumstances to live with....

All above is correct. I even personally invited Kook to the last Winter Chill Out; and he declined.

His former boat is now in the Northern Virginia area. It was somewhat parted out, and sold to a very good friend of mine. Turns out the current owner of the boat, is good friends with the person that originally owned it, and then sold it to Kook. Small world.

I was just thinking about this the other day and popped into this site to see. It's a sad story, and I hope his friend recovers soon. Accidents happen, and can happen to any one of us at any time. I hope Kook is doing ok as well...
