John, I was wondering if you were down this weekend. That dock sounds huge. I definitly want to see it at the shootout.

In reading some of the posts, sounds like the water was REALLY rough this weekend, didn't read too much on accidents though. Do I need to be worried about a noise violation when I am down there? Just stock 454's but straight thru hull...

We saw Sherry out on the pond Saturday, he had a full boat of family it looked like.

And the best part is I went by the new place both Sat and Sunday around 2-3pm. Not a ripple or wave at the dock. 1/2 mile away there was 4-5 footers.

As far as noise violations, we just need to wait and see. They didn't mess with folks this past weekend, but then again they had their hands full with the holiday and party cove. The next month will tell whether or not there will be problems with no mufflers this season.

I'm probably having mufflers put on the F4, I don't want to hastle with the tests etc if I go someplace that enforces the rules. There were tons of boats over 90db at LOTO this weekend. I heard there were 40 noise tickets given, but then again there were 40,000 boats out there.

I wouldn't worry too much about those three extra inches of beam. The cops won't be able to tell just from looking at it on the trailer.

What must be really exciting is the thought of owning hull #1!! :woohoo: :drink:

Thanks, the idea of Hull #1 can probably be looked at two different ways. I have a ton of confidence in the guys at Sunsation so I believe the first hull will be great. But no doubt there will be improvements in future hulls.

I don't worry about the beam. I don't even own a tow vehicle since I left my last boat on the lift at LOTO all the time, and didn't even own a trailer. I have a friend with a Chevy diesel that boats with me all the time that will initially tow it. If that doesn't work out, I have been watching those high end tow vehicles in EBM. :p

Thrill,

More than likely we'll put a Myco under the F4, we have not started the trailer decision process yet. As far as weight, with the standard 525's and standard equipment - under 10,000 lbs is the aim.

That will be tough, even Ol 42 Epoxy is 10900. My last 4300 Nortech weighed 12922 w/speedmaster set up. Good luck guys, this looks like an awesome project, really like the way the boat is turning out. Weight isn't everything, I still like a little flex. Jeff

Haven't heard from you for awhile Jeff. You ought to be real close to getting the new ride.

Wayne keeps aiming for near 10K, But time will tell. He will have done a heck of a job if he gets anywhere close. I'll be happy if he is close to 11K. But I've been at the factory and he handed me a mold which holds one of the speakers. When he handed it to me he asked what I thought. I replied it looks great. He just shook his head and complained it was way too heavy, and he gave them the lamination schedule and said "do it again." I think it weighed just a couple pounds. His response was every bit of un-needed weight adds up.

So I figure however much it weighs, he will have done his very best.

I don't think there will be molds for about another month. So any boating this year will have to be done way south, like Florida.

I still have the 32, so I am about to go down to the dealership it is at and drag it home. I may as well boat with it while trying to sell it......

Let us know when your new one is done, and post some pics. I also have been waiting to see Chuck's cat - do you know if he ever got it?

Just got up to the Detroit area, I have got to find a new way here, the construction was the pits. Definitely not going through Detroit on the way home.

Will be at the plant tomorrow. Look for new pics this weekend
