But in the end I agree with Scott, they are not as rock solid as naturally aspirated. Just my opinion, but I would take a 525 over the 525sc anyday. And I would take an Ilmor 600 over the Merc 600, the only issue with that one being the bundling of the rest of the package.

I do like the sound of the blowers though. And your right Rich, the merc setups will probably run for a long time.

Chicago boat show is only about 6 weeks away. Then if you go to Miami it will only be 6 weeks after that, with St Louis in between.

I was actually looking forward to this winter starting, that meant I would have a boat the next time it is warm out :evilb:

Other than an electrical problem Rich's motors have been just as reliable as any of the NA motors in our group. Also, I would imagine after some seat time in the Skater you are going to want to go faster. I understand 100mph in a Skater is like 50mph in a 24 Outlaw(the old Outlaw still being talked about). The point is you will want more HP and so will the Skater. The 525SC can be bumped to the 600HP range with minor modifications to the intake (intercooler, pulley change), the 500s and 525s will cost alot more money to modify to the 600HP goal. Just a thought. Plus blowers sound awesome.

N/A motors are a lot cheaper to rebuild, and a lot less tempermental. I agree blowers sound and look good. Whipple and Procharger make great upgrades for 500EFI and 525EFI's if the need for more speed comes into play. Rob, have you got any upgrades planned for this winter?

We did not buy a lot yet. We are working with a builder who currently owns a few lots in a neighborhood we like in Mahomet.
