I remember being 1st-2nd to the pin all 3 days, and being 5th-8th coming into the harbor because of ROUGH water and an open cockpit....
It sure was fun though, and Sunday was awesome as we had battles for the whole race with S-111(Beckley/Hanna) and S-7(Frenzy).

I remember 97 boats in the pits. A sight that showed the possiblity of things to come.
I remember seeing the best racing of all time.
I remember thanking John Carbonell for bringing everyone to Key West.
I wish I'd have more great memories from this year.

I remember flying into the Key West airport with a friend in a rented private plane late Friday night and not being able to find the airport among the light polution: "Oh yea...there it is. Where?...See the dark hole we just overflew."
Then there was the: "If we patch the crack tonight, we won't have to rush to get it done before the race tomorrow."
Oh yea and: "Where are we gonna get a lower for tomorrow's race?" Actually, special thanks to Ron Shelton and John Miller from S-11 Game On for lending us their lowers after they sustained significant hull damage after "swapping gelcoat" with Deep V Cats.
Then there was the great racing provided through the presense of three offshore racing organizations.
Ah yes...the memories...wouldn't trade them for the world.

I remember being thankful that APBA and SBI, the two sanctioning bodies with a long history of "longevity" were together. Yes, the fact that OSS was there was cool, and I saw some friends that I would not have seen otherwise.................but SBI and APBA were the survivors, the dinosaurs, and I was happy to see them together - I still am.

There is only one Key West, and the true home of Offshore Racing. This year will be off the hook, and like no other Worlds we've seen in years. The city is almost book solid already so make sure you make your plans soon. This will be the first true SBI/APBA/UIM World title no gray area this year. Also the battle for the Hall of Champions will be sealed.

Oh boy this is a loaded one! I remember talking to alot of spectators, repairng anything metal that was cracked, twisted or broken in two and never making it to Duvall St!
But most of all, I remember sharing a smile and some exciting times with some of the most talented, wonderful, OFFSHORE Racers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting!
Thank you for the memories!
