SBI /APBA and South Florida Powerboat Club have signed a contact to join forces in Key West. This should make for some exciting times for the fans . With over a 100 boat in the pits , and 3 days of racing. Also possible another 100 boat in the water on display.

Frank how is that going to work, when you say 100 boats in the pits are you including the poker run boats. I know last year a lot of people on the poker run wanted to have their trailers down there but there were no where to put them, so having a section in the pits devoted to some of the PR boats would be a nice adddition. I wonder if they would ever entertain the idea of putting those ladders up like at boat shows so you could see the top of the boat and the engines. That is one advantage you have about looking at them at the docks you can at least see inside. It would also be nice if all the poker run boats that were in the water were in one place as opposed to be sprinkled through out the marinas.

From what I heard any of the poker run boats that bring their trailers down can park in the dry pits and run some pace laps I believe on race days. Best to call FPC and talk to Stu

Since I am not in the poker run I am not going to call Stu, I am sure Frank will keep us informed. That would be cool if the poker run boats could run some laps, I think both them and the crowd would enjoy that. I remember in 04 a non race turbine boat was doing flybys in front of some of the bars, the crowd (including me and Mr P) really enjoyed that
