Yeah, being even a small part of the Super Bowl weekend can't compare to racing in Grunts Ferry, Arkansas. Hopefully JC can do better next year.

Congrats guys. Exposure is what it is all about. I spoke to Pop Pop today, he said there were fans all over the place. When you bring in sponsors, like Panasonic, and Gieco, you have to prove the numbers, if you want to keep the sponsors coming. Smitty

I still say that being mentioned with the other activities today, and running in front of many in their hotel rooms, by hotel pools, at Super Bowl activities, etc. ONLY HELPS THE SPORT OF OFFSHORE. All of offshore, not just SBI/APBA. |

I beg to differ. I was FRONT and CENTER for the races and all festivities. The beach was NOT shoulder to shoulder, but was VERY busy. It was overcast and a little cool. The crowd watching the Celebrity Flag game was wowed by the PR boats running hard. Then the first race start was cool, but couldn't hold a crowd that had been in bleachers for a few hrs. By the time the second race got going, the bleachers had refilled and they got a decent show. More boats, or one race, would have been cool. |
