P5 Question
To all P5 teams running Key West:
Please PM me or call me @ 321-501-2262(evenings) concerning the issue of us (Mariner's Club) running with you guys in the worlds. We do not want to rain on your parade after the successful season you had and crash the party so to speak, hence we are asking for your blessing. I also dont want to come in with a F1 set up then end up scrounging for props that I dont have. I want to come prepared and not have to go to that expense of buying props for 2 classes. We want to run F1, but we are thinking to start putting together our 2007 program a couple of months early. Look forward to hearing from you and hope we can work this out to benefit all of us. We will make our decision following your blessings/displeasure :( and before the end of the week, because I have to get my prop orders in, no matter what class we run. Trent |
Re: P5 Question
Good luck Trent, I`m sure these guys wont mind, another boat in a class just makes it more of a challenge.

Re: P5 Question
Trent,
Just so it's clear, I'm not speaking as the P5 class rep here, so we need the other owners to chime in. However, I will speak as a P5 team owner and you and I have already discussed you guys moving to P5 and you know my thoughts. So to clarify once again...BRING IT! :evilb: Sean |
Re: P5 Question
Sean,
I want to thank you for our conversation yesterday and thank the rest of the P5 class for your professionalism and "class" in this matter. I look forward to Key West even more and the oportunity to race with you guys. Its great that even the simplest things can be worked out in Offshore racing w/o deciet and backstabbing. Other classes and groups should take a look at the example you guys set. I think I made to many concessions though, I ran her today in the new setup and shes only doing 71.3 and I know those :chick: boys are running 71.9 and your at 71.7 :drink: Looks like we have our work cut out for us. Trent once again thanks for everything |
Re: P5 Question
Trent,
I greatly appreciate your professionalism and candor as well. It's a lot easier to help each other out when everyone is up front and honest with their intentions. No hidden agendas here...we all want to win, we've all got teams to run, we all want to keep our sponsors happy, and we all do it with integrity and a sense of family. You guys will fit in perfectly in P5...and I'm not just talking about the boat! Of course, I wouldn't worry about not quite reaching that top speed in P5 just yet. You know Key West is going to come down to the best crew in the rough water. Those Chicken boys are pretty good...they are gonna be the ones to beat. Look forward to seeing you guys again soon...have a safe trip. Sean |
Re: P5 Question
Great !!! Another boat, Sean ,thanks for the vote of confidence, but as we all know K.W. is a very technical race with rough and calm water. 3 days of picking that perfect set-up can elude even the best teams ???

That's true, but you guys seem to nail that set-up more often than not. :D See ya in Key West! Sean |
Re: P5 Question
Be easier if all the P5 teams stepped it up a notch and raced F1 , no need to worry about GPS.... :D

Re: P5 Question
I am also looking to run with P5 in the keys. I ran P3 with an A-Spec motor in Deerfield and blew the motor. I'll be dropping in a 500EFI for the worlds and estimate top speed to be in the low 70's. I am going to talk to SBI regarding boat length. I have the same hull as TGOR but canopied, my deck sweeps back over the drive though giving the boat an overall of 29'2".
