A special congrats to David and Travis Denham on their Third Place finish in P5. These guys have come a long way in a short time.
They took 3 years to completely rebuild their boat from the bottom up with the goal to someday race offshore. In Chattanooga last year, their first race, they burnt some pistons during the speed runs and didn't make it to race day. Earlier in the year, they couldn't get their boat over 65 mph, but kept testing to get things right...and they did.
For a couple of hillbillies from Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, not a bad finish for their first year in racing...congrats!

Wow, thanks guys!! We had a blast, just want to thank everyone that helped us throughout the year, and the support the stars rescue team has show us is overwhelming. We just can't wait for next year. We learned a lot this year and also made some great friends in the process. Sean I can't wait to line up the black boats again, t's been a lot of fun to race against you and just hope next year well be as good as this one. For our first year we couldn't ask for anything more. See all you guys in the spring. And to Pops and the stars boys, I will be in touch with you soon, Thanks for the duval tour, I am still recovering!!
