flat rate,
I really don't know why the engines would come out, but they did in this Cigarette roll..... (I'm going to try and find the original thread on this accident, the engines may have been removed after the boat was recovered. But I'm thinking they (the engines) are still at the bottom of the lake.) |
Hmmm....Interesting.....

Look at the engine mounts , they were removed after it was recovered

OK OK,
I'm new to this racing thing. I did find the thread on the Cigarette flip and the engines were removed after it was recovered. And I now understand if a boat is righted quickly, it doesn't sink. So, I learned something. AND, being this is an anonymous forum, nobody will know the identity of this dumbass. That's what I'm talking about. |
sorry, I apologize if I sounded sarcastic....I honestly didn't know if I wasn't understanding your question.
During our races, we rarely have boats sink, because we have tow boats close at hand for these situations. If a boat is damaged and is taking on water quickly, the towboats tie up and keep it moving until it is at the cranes. Keep asking questions.......maybe someone more knowledgable than myself will jump in here ........ |

If you keep it moving it will most likely NOT sink as evidenced by this infamous picture.
