Hey Pete,
We have had the new one on the drawing board for a year now. The plan was to begin the week after Key West. Obviously our little mishap will put us a bit behind, but Dr Lee has new and old parts in the molds as we speak. If you know of anyone wanting to race, the DVC is a great boat. In the hands of a more aggressive team it will be very hard to beat. We are building something so wicked fast, us older guys can relax in it and still win a flag or two. SQ |

Hey Robbie,
We always have fun in Morehead City. You are right about the Doctor, he is fixing it faster as usual. There is talk of making Morehead one of the really big races. Good thinking. SQ |

Hey Julie,
No need for secrets when the boat is for sale. Anyone thinking of owning DVC gets a 125 mph SBI APBA UIM OSS OPA World Kilo Record thrown in at no extra charge. See the photo above to learn how. SQ |
Did the wing plate break ? from the pics it looks it...but kinda hard to see
|
I know the angle isnt good, but it does appear that the wing plate broke, If it did, there must have been some serious force subjected to the motor to rip Stainless steel like that!
|
We are still trying to separate cause and effect. We believe the two outside wingplate bolts sheared off first. This lead to the rest of the destruction. We still have two badly bent prop blades and no propeller marks anywhere on the transom. I remember being told that the Helicopters had spotted a motor cover/cowling in the water before our incident. It was a wild ride thats for sure. I'm just sorry there is no video. SQ

Steve,
Are those Barracuda's you where running? Maybe you guys looked like bait and a big one just couldn't resist. That just might explain everything! :D |
Thanks Ken,
I think the wreck riddle has been solved, Barracudas. That Kentucky Wonder Weed really gets you thinking outside the box. SQ |
Barracuda......
