As you all know, the “Kevin Brown Building” was dedicated back in March at the new Florida Center for Child and Family Development’s North Port Campus. This building still has expenses that go along with the opening and Kevin’s family has requested for any Memorial Donations to be made to: The Suncoast Foundation for the Handicapped, Inc. and mailed to 5317 Fruitville Road, Suite 43, Sarasota, Florida 34232. Kevin was a Board Member for the Suncoast Foundation and has been involved with the Sarasota race site since it began, serving as Race Chairman since 2000.

“This year’s 24th Annual Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix Festival and Race is dedicated to Kevin Brown for his tireless efforts for so many years. Kevin’s spirit is alive and vibrant in all of us who work toward making this annual Festival and Offshore Race a success. Thank you Kevin, for making such a difference in the lives of so many children with special needs and to all who were fortunate enough to have known you” said Lucy of the Suncoast Foundation.

During this year’s Offshore Grand Prix Festival Kickoff Party in Sarasota there will be a special tribute in honor of Kevin. The party will kickoff the entire week of Festival events on Saturday, June 28, beginning at 7 pm. It will be held at the Sarasota Bradenton International Convention Center and tickets are $100 pp. Tables of 10 are also available for $1,000. All proceeds will benefit the Suncoast Foundation for the Handicapped. To purchase tickets, or to make a donation, call (941) 371-8820 ext. 1123.

There is going to be a private scattering of Kevin’s ashes on Thursday, April 24th. The family has requested to attend the Kickoff Party on June 28th to honor Kevin.
