Believe it.
People on the deck outside of race control were cheering and toasting him and he was waving and loving it.
He was like the energizer bunny....going and going and going
After the checkered flag he was one of the last ones out there.
Would I lie about that?
(there were times when a boat that broke, had to wait to cross the course until Scott went by........) pretty funny

Pat,
I didnt even think of that, we were on the backstrech in the spectator fleet, so we didnt see it, but must have been funny.
Hey Scott,
Thanks for the seat in your truck during the rain, but I had to get out to check on my boat, and stop it from sinking, something about the crane joke, and the fact that we had one if it did sink got me thinking, It was leaning to one side when I got out there, the cockpit drains run into an upper area, and the bilge pumps are at the lowest, well, one of the drains thru the stringers was clogged

The keys radio station WFFG reports they were a turn boat and just as race was to start, it started to rain so hard you couldn't see the boats in the milling area. Start was delayed about an hour. Allegedly the Sea Tow boat had to bring in 3-4 boats "before" the start. Hope it was a safe race with what sounds like about 8 boats. WOW

Can you believe the way this stuff gets twisted???
I was there, and in that rain myself out on the boat, it wasnt that bad once they sent us out. I believe hard rock did miss the start due to a starter issue , but that was it.

don't want anyone to think I am a nay sayer. I just posted the info I heard on that radio station, since it has been about a day and nothing else out. I did do my own math based on someone's prior post that 12 boats there, but that is my fault for believing what other people say on the radio and internet. There is an audio replay of the radio station I listened to today at the wffg website-select fishing report. That guy said he was a radio host on the start boat, a "38 fountain", and he must have had it wrong according to pat. I never try to post wrong or misinformation. I luv this sport, but it seems you cannot repeat what you hear or read anymore. I remember people here in st pete having a challenge with results of about 140? boats when we had the worlds. Shouldn't 16 boats in about 8? classes be easy? I'm dun!!!

I wasnt implying that you twisted it, it just gets that way sometimes. Yes 16 boats should be easy, but it was a tough weekend with the rain and all, cut them some slack the results etc will all come.
