Superheat Wins NYC
To all of my family and friends, I would like to a moment to thank all of you for your continued support, as without you our team would not have been able to achieve the level of success that we have this year!
As most of you know, I only have a few races under my belt, and even fewer in the Platinum. Through the duration of my racing career (although short) I have learned to appreciate some things more now than ever, most of is family and friendship. I want to say thank you to my friends and fellow teammates and although we have help from a lot of friends at each site I would to thank: Russell (The Pump), Tommy (Doctor in training), Levi (Rico) and Herb (the best engine builder and Crew Chief a team could have) as well as Justin, Brian, Kenny (Wildman), and the newest member of our team, Chris (We haven't named him yet but we will!!). Thank you for your friendship and all of your efforts in keeping this team together and most importantly SAFE. (The winning isn't bad either.)
Now for my throttleman Mr. Imprescia (The Wrench), well what can I say, or better yet where do I start? Joey is one of the most family- oriented people I know. I met Joey several years ago and have been friends ever since. When I started my racing career one season ago, that's right one season ago I had Joe rig me a boat, his attention to safety as well as detail led me to a great first race (I was hooked!!). After my first race some plans changed and I needed a new throttleman, I knew Joe was the guy for the job but asking him to run the boat with me for the rest of the season was something entirely different. Now mind you I was asking Joe to run a 29' Vee bottom with me, and I had only raced one time. Even though I knew he might not want to I asked anyway. It was the moment of truth, I walked into Eastcoast Marine, kind of looked around, asked Joe how his weekend was, blah, blah, blah, then I sprang it on him. Joey looked at me and said, "COOL!". Cool that's what he said, just cool. Our first race was Harrison MI and the rest is, as they say, HISTORY!!!! Joe, thanks for keeping my fun meter pinned, and keeping me safe!!!! And most of all, thanks for being JOE!!!!!!!!
Thanks to all who have helped keep us safe!!!!
