We stay at the Laquinta south of town. There's one closer, and on the beach but more $$$.
The one we stay at allows our dogs, has a killer pool w/a tiki bar, a sports bar up stairs, another one by the pool and a land scaped walkway to the beach across the street and another tiki bar right on the beach.
Stop and p/u one of the free hotel coupon books from one of the stands on the street for discount coupons. Got us $20. off twice in a row until they realized they were for weekdays only

Steve we are taking off starting next Weds - Monday and most likely staying local so lets hook up.
Would offer a ride in the sonic but just re-rigged w/the motors I built and having some issues w/the starboard motor.
The Hydrostream runs though and I can take you out in that and let you see Jesus

Flying out this morning. Probably be there by 1 or so.

Making sure I have my tee times set up, table at Pompanos, few drinks at Coconuts. I'm not sure I'm ready to see Jesus this week Many, many years ago, I saw my first Hydrostream (if my meory is any good at all). This was in the era of little OB Checkmates, Magnums, etc... This boat was flying down the channel in front of your place, screaming as those old tall Mercs would. (the old OB that had vents on the side of the cowling?)

The boat hit a wave from the boat in front of him. It pitched to starboard, then went up, out of the water a few feet, landed on the point of the transom bottom, slapped down hard and kept going. I think he saw Jesus then

Back then I thought that was pretty cool, and I wanted one. I'm thinking cruiser now

We'll be there until next Sunday.

We have the hook up on most of the local area if you want any input on the area. Great pubs on the river at Port Canaveral and you pass killer Mexican and Italian restaurants on the way plus a really nice "seagar" shop too.

On the Hydrostreams, I don't blame you. They'll bite you if you don't have your act together. This one hasn't been over 85 yet while I sort it out. Should run 110 - 115 if I put the time into it.

Last one ran 101 before I ran out of motivation. Was a hoot to drive though.

We'll be headed up to Grills at the Cape at some point. Had to work around yesterday's storms. Got the beer, margarita mix, all the important stuff Might take the gambling boat out one night.

Last time I golfed at Cocoa Beach CC I shot am 81, we'll see how that's working out now Haven't picked up a club since last September.

Have to start walking the beach mornings, work off some of this Northern winter gut

Will have parts for the Sonic today. If they cure my issue we'll be on the water. If not we'll be in the area by car.
We may spend a night at our Laquinta and go have some fun.
