WHat does a 200 do to the speeds on these boats?
I think a few guys have committed to doing it with expectations the rest will follow (again it's a what I heard thing). I have also "heard" that the mph will drop some but the reliability will skyrocket.

I want to do this for fun and am not intense enough to fight with other drivers or owners. I'd rather just buy them a cocktail and talk about boats.

That sound great for new guys that want to come in that want to buy 200's which has not been decided yet, but what about all the teams that have a complete stock of 280 parts and supplies. You CAN still by parts, powerheads and more from Mercury NEW.....

More hearsay but I heard new 200s were $16,000 each and a set of the 280s were 1) hard to find and 2) pretty expensive. I'm not the type who likes to search Craigs list and other sources for stuff. I'd much rather just buy the 200s if the 280s are no longer manufactured.

This is why we are going to buy the boat this year (or early next) and wait until late 14' or early 15' to buy motors. Hopefully by then I'll go hang out with you guys a few weekends and see what it's all about.

Can't wait!!

At this point what was talked about was most every thing would stay the same but the powerheads, therefor teams could elect to just by new powerheads and run the same mids and gearcases. Screamand Fly.com is the source for all thing outboard if you want to poke around. We would welcome you to the class. We WILL be back for Lake Race 2014.....

What about the old Talbot WHM DW? Is going to come back out, or for sale?

I only see 1 DW for sale and it is the owners pleasure boat.

Where are all the DW race boats listed?
