Does anyone know - in reality- what time on Friday would be the best to visit the "Dry Pit" area? Also on Saturday there are "launchings" staring at 12 noon I'm, assuming for practice runs? I would love to see the big boys run from the water - any thoughts would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

Everyone takes something different away from these races... over the last four years, the class attendance has been changing... however, still a good time to walk through the pits, talk to the guys and checkout the hardware.

I 100% agree, not looking for argument. I would be very upset if I drove a distance. I love all big horsepower so curiosity will bring me back this year, but I am close. Will probably boat over on Sunday, hang out for first race then head over to boaters beach. Just not expecting much. Not like the old days when they came through chi town with 35-45 boats.

The Marina says there are 50 transients signed up for slips already for the weekend. Weather is supposed to be nice. Should be a good time on the docks as usual
