So we go out for a ride and when we get back Will can't shut off one of the engines for some reason. He had to unplug some stuff in the engine room to turn off the spark. But it ran fine.
On Sunday, here comes the Vee start and they're still in the marina with the engine hatches up. They never left the marina. I still don't know what happened but I have a feeling it had something to do with that same issue.
Sorry Ken, I didn't mean to break your toy.

Ron,
You didn't break anything. We having been seeing the engine shut-down problem surface and disappear from the get go.
After we craned-in on Sunday, we couldn't shut down the starboard engine. The Merc guys where at the cranes and came over to give us immediate assistance. After feverishly working on the problem until the last available minute, we made the decision to not put our own and everyone else's safety at risk.
The Mercury guys all over it, they where in the boat checking everything, on the phone talking to other experts, and trying every conceivable trick to resolve the problem so we could get out on the race course.
Although they could not identify the source of the problem, they did help eliminate several possible causes.
It's a real head scratcher........
