Gotta remember that alot of the earlier 30's were ordered with twin small blocks. "Zul Specials". 600+ HP each. Screaming machines !!!

Who remembers the R C marine 30 all yellow. That boat was unbeatable until it was torched. If you cant beat it burn it. The motors made great power but where not cheap Kind of like nascar motors running high rpm. Not your average 5000 rpm motor more like 7500. JC performance could fill you in more im sure. All I know is they where unbeatable. Add todays technology with some good bravos and herring props and you could probably add another 20 mph.

So with twin 320 hp youre doing 80mph, you dont have to stagger (room for babes), the weight of each is about 200 lbs less than a big block (totalling 400lbs). How about fuel efficiency? Would you be approximately half way between a single big block and twin big blocks?

So perhaps the way to go is a pair of side by side small blocks. Lets say max hp at 575-600 per side. This way you could use the merc. XR drive and be ok. I'm thinking ZUL MOTORS !!!!!.....................So what do you think HOW FAST !!!

How fast you want to go?
I'm quite sure that you could have a set of 450HP/383 strokers built complete for under 25K. That should push a Y2K near 100...
