Superboats to a major Poker Run in 2006?
With more Y2K's maybe we need to start thinking about rounding 'em up at one of the major poker runs in '06?????
Emerald Coast? LOTO? Havasu? NYC?
Fasterdammit likes Havazoo, and I do plan to make it there one time soon. Could anyone else make it? When are the major runs?
Maybe we can do one on each coast - with fuel prices uncertain for the long range, talks like this may be just that - talks!!
Well, I'm off to a local poker run today, it's raining here now so I'm not sure what's up - I'll try to get some photos posted.....

Krak, I just did a S.C.O.P.E. poker run last weekend on tha Pacific. I was a blast. However, when on an enclosed lake like Havasu you get more spectators and media coverage in my opinion. Boats and people line up along the shoreline and watch the fastest boats fly by. There are many coves in the mountains ect.. that we all tie up together in for a private party seen. You don't have to be in a dock or marina to find calm water. I liked the atmosphere at Long Island also. Beautiful place. Unfortunatly I find it difficult for a 5400 mile round trip for most Superboat owners. I may be able to do it next summer, I don't know. Right now I'm thinking how much $$ I spent to get my boat here and all this HP in it and I just want to do use it like NOW! I think Lake of the Ozarks is a good half way point. What do you think?

Well I like the idea of doing Havasu one day, but I like your idea of LOTO for centralization - now we need to hear from the other hardcore SB'ers to see if anyone would also try to commit. Hey, my motto - have trailer, will travel!
Sooooo, anyone else? It's all speculation at this point, but would you make the trip if conditions allowed?

Assuming I have my SB by then... I guess we could road trip it to LOTO. Much farther though would definitly make it tough. Anyone have an Idea what it would cost to get a boat from either coast to LOTO?
