Hey Tripps,
It's been a while since we heard from you over here on the SB forum.
No, I'm not coming down for the Hot Totty run. I don't quite trust my tow vehicle or my trailer...
I will come down to the South Shore by water next Summer if you fellows plan another Superfest though... :evilb:
How about you come up with Zup for the CT River Run? :drink:

Lots of supers today I counted about 10 30,s and 4 24,s and 6 21,s. home early like promised and in one piece. had a great time. The start was great , charlie had asked that we respect the coastguard and start at 50 once past them go for it. IT WAS NOT A RACE. One boat moved and everybody was on it well so much for 50. Another good event THANKS CHARLIE

My favorite super was missing from the run. Jim Capie and the Jessie James. We sure could have used him and his speed .

Re: Hot toddy run

How's your boat running lately Mike? Did you get rid of the cleaver prop?

z.zuperboat 10-03-2005 10:49 AM

Re: Hot toddy run

The boats running very well for a cleaver that doesnt lift. Very stable actually some times its boring. My hill chopper doesnt have enough diameter so it will be up for sale. Scream and fly has some good shots of the run. Im in one but to small to tell unless you where their.

I was on Z man's boat a few times this summer. Best thing about that boat is it always runs and always gets you home. Plus it does run better than 83-84?? :D

Gary, If my memory serves me correctly.
From reading other posts:
Late 1980s 30' Tempest Hull with some modifications.
Speed Master Out-drive.
BIG Power like 900+ maybe 1000HP... :evilb:
And it does top out at over 100mph...

Superbabi 10-05-2005 07:51 PM

Re: Hot toddy run

100 MPH, WOW !!!!! Perhaps next year. :D

z.zuperboat 10-05-2005 08:08 PM

Re: Hot toddy run

Pat you forgot to mention the 5 blade speedy herring prop that cost more than a bravo outdrive. And you have to know someone to get one of these bad boys.

ZZ, lets hear some more about this prop ( herring ) I was thinking about one for next year. What maks them SO SPECIAL ???..................Thanks Gary

z.zuperboat 10-06-2005 07:27 AM

Re: Hot toddy run

If you want a herring next year you better orderit now. Never delt with them before. I dont think I know enough to even order one. Im sure to get it rite they would have to ask you 50 questions. Every one is for a specific application. Im guessing at bravo prices around 2G and speedys are 5G and hardened killers are 10G and that is each not a pair. MRD has some boats running at 4% slip with them. Yes 4% not 14%. Not every hull will run 4% but it dosnt hurt to ask.The bravo/herrings ive seen have 6 blades and the blades are small. Your best bet would be to talk to SKIP at MRD and have him order it for you.

Superbabi 10-06-2005 01:41 PM

Re: Hot toddy run

10K for a prop, thats more than an XR DRIVE, I will have to check into that. Also I wonder how much more top end one would end up with. If I could see say, an honest 4-5 MPH I would say it's worth it, OTHERWISE..........FORGET.
