Insu. Lay Up.

Gary,
Mine is the same as yours, 6 months. I believe you can use your boat outside of those dates for a short period without extra $$ if you let the insurance company know.

Lay up??
I will boat well into December unless we get a harsh winter. Usually Jan and Feb suck, we even may see some freezing weather. October 16th makes one year of SB ownership for me, and right now I have 125 hours on her. I'm shopping big cubic inches now - at his usuage rate I will have to repower or refresh next winter at the latest!

Hey Guys,
I called my insurance company to get a quote for my brother-in-law that is buying a 20' Grady.
Anyway, looking at my renewal while talking to the agent, I noticed I had not change the HP in my boat this year (from 310 to 415)...
Being that I'm a pretty conservative guy, lying on the policy is like not having insurance...
I also asked about the "lay up" period. It was 6 months, but not much $ to have none...
So I made the changes over the phone and made the payment with my credit card.
Cost went from $610 to $790 for full coverage and an agreed value of 25K...
