Sounds like a great deal, but no thanks Mike...
I do agree that a 600HP/540 is great power for a 30'; in a 24', that may be a bit much...

6k is a deal. price a solid crower roller and a 950 holley over 1500 rite there. the speedy drive and tranny should have no problem with even 900. remember its not a race boat just a pleasure cruiser.

Yea maybe... :

I have been thinking about what to do for upgrades this off season. I have also been thinking how nice it would be to not be pulling an engine out of my boat this fall. Then I won't be scrambling come spring time.

Mike does have a nice engine up for sale. It was put together by the pros and dyno tested.
I have drooled over it a couple of times even though I'm not that crazy about the green valve covers...

I'm going to be happy with what I've got, so long as it stays together through the CT River Run...
