Hey Keith,
What prop are you going to buy?

Not sure, I'm going to give all my numbers to them and let them tell me. I really liked the P5 I tried, I think it was a 26p, but now with the spacer and everything else settles in, it's a new game - why, do have one????

I have a labbed 26p Bravo that I ran with the 454 in my boat, and I have a 28p Bravo being tweaked at BBlades.
Brett does not think a 5 blade would gain me much as the slip is 10% on my boat with a Bravo I. I do plan on trying a 5 blade at some point soon though. We'll see how she runs after I get my 28p back and go from there...

Pat, What exactly are they tweaking on your 28? pitch, cup?

Yup, that is why I stopped running 3 blade props.
280 K-plans, but I like to run them up unless I'm in the rough.

With a 28p Bravo 1 my boat max'd out about 75mph @ 4800rpm. My engine should make a little more power @ 5000rpm, so they are doing a slight pitch reduction.
Also, when I trim up there is a fine line between running fast and the prop breaking free. The second mod is a slight rake and cup change so the bow can be carried with less trim.
T-Mone, here on OSO, has a 24' Pantera and says the Hydro P5X is by far the best prop he has run, but I can bring myself to brake the bank until I try one.

FF2, 74.1 gps at 5150 rpm in the SB with light fuel+load. Running stock 496 MAG HO w 26p Bravo 1 non-labbed, getting around 3mpg (I easily travel 250 miles on a full tank of fuel). Can you say happy? I can. :)

Since I've been slowly adding weight - stereo, interior, porta-potti, etc I felt the boat needed more bow lift, hence the 1" spacer installed a few months ago. Now I'm running her hard again to see speed at rpm to report to BBlades and fine tune a prop, as I do want a spare (the 26p Bravo 1). Did I mention I was one happy SB'er??? WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE?

Thanks again Rick and JC!!!!!
