Opened the Konrad crate today. Some package and very impressive. One thing we saw is that the drive has no water pick ups. And it's a Left hand rotation, which I like.

Rick, looks like we'll need some transom mount pick ups... Glad the unit is there. Hows the rest of the boat coming along? Did all the Livorsi stuff arrive yet? Was thinking of coming out when the motor is done... like another month I'm guessing.

Tom, you floated right in front of us at Black's on Saturday morning. I tried to yell but that cam of yours has way too much lope for you to hear me. We were already anchored and you bailed out before we started north. Where did you guys go hide? We looked at steamboat, copper, thompson bay, channel, sand bar, and Topock. I know its a big lake but damn your good at hiding!!!! Poker run was cool and we shot some video that I'm going to try and figure out how to edit and post. I guess we'll have to hook up another weekend.

For the transom pickup I used the IMCO WP-38A. Trimmed nice to fit in the notch. Also still adjustable. On long island we have lots of grass so the pickup had to be against the transom also alittle silicone between the pick up and the gelcoat so nothing squeaks between their.

Rob, I could not resist runnin back up stream with the Poker Run boats. Let's say either I drive like a nut or the Y2k is more capable than most. If it was'nt for the seat belts I just installed, I would be minus three back passengers I'm sure. The only boats that passed me, was a couple of huge Skaters! Although I did have a neck to neck run with a 35' Cig for awhile. Just could'nt take him. All the others in my sight where handled by the Y2k. It was a blast. Can't wait till your out there with me.

without knowing boost numbers im in between 1000 and 1100 . If your going to run an intercooler you mite as well install 2 pickups from the start. one for the motor and one for the cooler.

Well we know from Faster that an engine like that is capable of 800HP NA. So add a blower to the mix and Zup has the number, 1000 to 1100HP.
If you wants some more specific guesses, we need to know the cam, boost, and if it will have an inter-cooler???

Tom, sounds like you're having fun! Too cool - next year I hope to be stabilized in my new job enough to travel some more, we'll see if we can't head west one day! That Y2K hull is impressive - I often have other boaters of equal or larger size coming in when I'm headed out, saying it's too rough out there.....

Is there any chance of my boat being ready for the NYC poker run in June?
