Re: Chinewalking

Not yet having my boat, I dont have the most experience but with the little seat time I have had in the 30 I would say that chine walk is nonexistent. Was in Superbabi up to about 70 and with those long ass tabs hanging off the back we couldn't even get the boat to lean over. Such a sick ride... I need to go... ahh... go do something... ;)

Re: Chinewalking

I have found on my Y2K I will experience some chinewalking in the verycalm water looking for a little more RPM'S. Keep in mind this when the drive is trimmed all the way out. Otherwise true and level. This is with the 5 blade merc prop, there was NO CHINE WALK with the 4 blade merc. Superboat house prop. This summer I hope to have her on the money !!!!

Re: Chinewalking

A 24' Super will chine walk if she has the wrong prop or if you trim wrong for the conditions.
I have not been in a 30' Super as of yet, but I would guess the setup would have to be way out of whack to get one to chine walk.

Do you have chine walking issues with your 27'?
Make sure the bottom is good and straight. Run 4 or 5 blade props as they are much more stable than a 3 blade.

I cleared the Chine walk on my 24 OB with a 24P big ear chopper prop.
Bow lift cleared the chine walk
