Re: How much for a Y2K unrigged ??
Rick- you started to answer my question on the other thread here... If you built a hull with the twin stringers could you still run a single BB? You would just have a hull that was built beefy in the transom/rear area right?

Re: How much for a Y2K unrigged ??
Another thing just popped into my mind, what would all this extra weight do to the ride/handling? Would you need to worry about the CG moving to far forward/back? Will Cohen ever step into the 21st century and get online? Is global warming really a problem and should Superboat be building a 65' for the day we all are underwater?

To my knowledge, single engine Superboats have 4 stringers to the stern vs. just 2; at least my 24' Super has 4 vs. my 24' Pantera had 2... |

Rob,
When we do a stringer setup for a twin smallblock we put one tall stringer right down the center of the hull, and two outer stringers. No way to put a single BB in with a center stringer. As for the CG, the Y2K rides beautiful with twin smallblocks. Heres a picture of the last Y2K running with twin 6.2, 320HP Mercury smallblocks. Rick |

What would happen if you staggered them?
|
Re: How much for a Y2K unrigged ??
You would loose cockpit room and the back seat.
|
Re: How much for a Y2K unrigged ??
That would be race only.

Re: How much for a Y2K unrigged ??
What do you mean by " Race only" ??
|
Re: How much for a Y2K unrigged ??
I think he means fast only :D

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but how fast is the twin 6.2 boat? Just curious.
Thanks, Frank |
