A pair of light weight small blocks (aluminum heads, intakes) making around 500hp would be a nice package, run xr sportmaster shorties(dual engines more trim leverage) would make a cool package.I would have to mount the sea water pumps volvo style off the crankshaft,so acsess would be ok.The reason i say this is i have a restored 28 cig in shop now that twins that i have to change impellers on,what a pain in butt.Someone step up and lets build one,the guy with the 28 cig is thinking about a set of 500hp smallblocks this winter, would sound nice around 6000rpm

That would be a sweet ride. I raced against the old 30 Superboat MRD in Pt. Pleasant. That boat ran, never got out of shape and would punch through the big seas. The Y2K with some of Dave's motors would be a rocket. Hey, Dave your right someone needs to step up.

My idea is to use 2 LSx 6.0L motors with efi. Would be an easy 450hp each with awsome economy. And I just happen to have a crap load of LS1 stuff laying around
