Pat I gather than that the merc 6.2 would be the way to go as far as a simple whipple drop in ????

I would say yes Gary.
There are probably a number of local places that could do a whipple install on standard Merc power.
To have a custom built supercharged engine with EFI is going to take a builder with experience tuning the EFI with the engine on a dyno.
Give Dustin at Whipple a call, maybe he knows some builders that would have a 600HP SBC combo already designed.

Anyone ever figure out how much Hp you need with twins to hit 100? If 640 gets you 82 then 450ea. gets you 100?!?!?

Rob play it safe, make 550-600 a side.................100 at cruise !!!!!
