Jeff,
Check out this site on the 454 small block. What would be needed to convert to marine. I called them today, motor has brass freeze out plugs. What else would be needed ?? And how much do you think ???

Hey Rick,
The cam in that engine would require dry exhaust and the carb would need to be Coastguard approved.
I wounder how much for a longblock without the cam?
I would guess a marinized version with EFI and all accessories would be around 20K?
