Lets see whats going on here, Imco, Arneson, Gear splitter, Konrad, hell I like em all !!!! or perhaps the FX-10 favorite the SAGE DRIVE. Rob, are you spinning yet, are you crazed, are you sleeping good ????? ha ha lol, all in good fun !!!!!

I can't imagine you needing 1000hp to break 100.
850hp should do it. And do a beefed up IMCO bravo or BMAX.
You're not going to be running it 100 all the time, and if you're running 60-70 either one of these should do fine.

What breaks the drive? Hard on throttle to get on plane. Launching. What else? I think if you drive the boat w/ some care either of these drives will be fine.

From what I can gather its the gears that let go most of the time... only one tooth in contact at a time. The main use of the boat is going to be poker running. I would like a cruie speed in the 80's hence the 1000hp number. Its not a top speed thing just don't wanna have to push the engine too hard for the cruise speed.

Looks like the new ACE drive wouldn't suit your application anyways...
