you need to compare apples to apples. you've listed hp from 375 to 1300. decide how fast you want to go then choose a builder.

i'd go with jc for whatever you decide

Hell, for 65K you can buy a 30' Super with a 496HO Bravo X...
To answer the question:
If I'm living in dream land, and 65K is the budget for power, Merc. Racing 600sci Bravo XR...
Now if I am fortunate enough to acquire a 30' Super in the near future, I will build my own 500-600HP engine and hook it to a beefed up Bravo drive...

In that case, can you hook me up with one of those 1300s???

I'm happy with the work JC did for me.

Well my 598ci 802hp cost the same as a Merc 525. Not near 65g's. How do I vote?

Hey Fast Fun,
In my opinion your poll should have included an engine and drive as a package...
For example, Faster chose a custom built 801HP/598cube with a Merc Bravo XR...
65K for just an engine, leaves this too wide open. Most 65K engines make BIG Power and require a #6 or some other high $$ out-drive...
