Have you checked out the new IMCO drive with the tranny in the box also? Just curious on the price difference?

The Imco and the Konrad were close to the same price but the Imco is sold out until mid summer and I haven't heard stellar reviews of it as of yet. I forget exactly how much parasitic loss you get with the tranny but its less then a TRS or #6 so if you know what they take then its somewhere less then that. The Konrad has been runninng for 5+ years with out a failure according to them. And those guys seemed all fired up to go after mercury in the market.

You are not alone G...
Like I said earlier, I can't wait to tilt a few with Rick and discuss his theory behind the changed...
We've got a marine architect/engineer in the family that has given me a couple of books and a few articles for bathroom reading.
I'll be showing her these shots during Sunday brunch at the in-laws this weekend.

Makes for less wetted surface I would say...

I like the area that extends out to the chines. That should create some lift.

I believe that Ricks new design will add some lift to the hull were as the old step design only created less drag from less wetted surface.

Rick, any more comments? or would you like to wait until I buy you a beer at Superfest?
