Who is doing the factory work for John and are they local to L.I. ? Who does the best work out there in NY... I was thinking of having the custom stuff done out here on the west coast for my 30 but if there is a good guy local I would certainly look into that!!! And by custom I mean ultrasuede, ultra leather, or one of the new metallic weaves or something...

anybody know what is out there ? what are the differences in vinyls ? i want good stuff. i've done a wack of searchs and every one is 14 to 16 bucks a yard. i could'nt find much educational. i just want to semi educate myself before i get it done so i don't get ripped with some cheap crap i won't be happy with down the road. ultra leather, hmmm, would that work in a marine enviroment ?

Yeah its suppose to be the synthetic stuff that is bullet proof compared to the real thing... It still gets hot in the sun and doesn't wear as well as vinyl but it feels sooo much better. I know vinyl and carpet are both done by weight i.e. 30oz, 40oz, that kind of thing. In my limited experience the instalation was much more inportant then the materials, it will make a difference in how long it lasts and how it feels to the people sitting in the seats or laying on the sun pad.
