Default Hydro 4 blade on a 24

Anyone ever run a Hydromotive 4 blade on a 24?

What was your experience?

There is a Hydro 28, lab finished, balanced and BP for sale in the classifieds. Looks interesting....

The Quad IV is a stern lifting prop, so it's not likely a great prop for a 24' Super. If it's the X series (round ear) Hydro, then maybe...

I tried one the first year I had my boat. Although I didn't have much seat time yet, it didn't seem like the right prop. I don't think you will beat a 4 blade bravo 1 on a late model 24.

BTW, My boat seems to be running better than ever this year. On my first run, Me, fat buddy, and skinny buddy, nearly full gas, 77.9

I thought it was a fluke until my second run. Just me, nearly full gas, 79.5! The GPS speedo was reading over 80!

Dave, thanks for the info.
Great numbers, a 24 w/496 at 80, gotta love it.

I made a few adjustments over the winter, I hope to take my first run in couple of weeks. Looking for 1 or 2 MPH better than last year.
