Default Hydromotive

Who's tried a Q-iV or X on a Y2K bottom?

I've heard not much diff. than the B1. Maybe a slight increase in top end, and slight loss in cruise.

mY BUDDY GAVE ME A Q-IV 29P I converted to a fat shaft for my XR. It has the diffuser ring on it which he needed to stop the blow-out. He had it on a supercharged 502 in a Donzi 22Zx stepped hull and said it was "the joint". he was running the 90's. I got a feeling its going to be to big a prop for me to spin though the price was right to add it to my collection... I should be ready to do some testing...

Good luck Gary. I talked to FastEddie and he said the Q-IV was the fastest prop for him at one time. Let us here the results of how it feels even if it is to big of pitch. A 29 Hydro is like a 30.5 Bravo1.

We tested props today...
With one person and about 50gal of fuel my boat ran 76-77mph @ 4900+rpm with a modified 28p B1.
And topped out at about 75mph @ 5100+rpm with Gary's labbed 25+p Hydro P5-X.
The 5 blade Hydro is an awesome prop. Definitely more lift to the entire boat than with the B1. If it had been a 26p, I'm sure I would have seen the same or better top speed vs. the B1.
Great Day on the water...
Thanks for making the trip down today Gary...

The Hydro I tried was OH-Zone's P5-X and it ran great.
OH-Zone ran both a Quad IV and the P5-X.
