100 Mph Y2k
So what amount of HP do we need to get the Y2K TO 100 MPH mark ????

Re: 100 Mph Y2k
I say 1000hp if boat is to hit it consistently on a Bravo drive. Then the HP loss and drag at the drive will come into play with bigger units to handle the extra torque.

Re: 100 Mph Y2k
I thought Coen did 104 with a MRD 850 in one of the early Y2K's.

Re: 100 Mph Y2k
Rick, thats what I'm thinking, Tom has 801 HP at 94 mph, so another 50,100 at the most ????

Re: 100 Mph Y2k
In salt water with no gear/gas it could be possible. I would like to see the my boat get there. Next time I'm on the Pacific I'll give it a try. :drink:

Re: 100 Mph Y2k
Real world it looks like 900+ hp with a bravo set up to consistently hit 100mph+... But since theres a new running surface it might take less to get there... Stay tuned!!!
