that's why i asked...

I remember when the x-dimension was done...i don't remember if it was superboat or falcon that actually cut it, but i do remember them setting it pretty high...thought it was 1.5 above standard height.

And, I believe 5 - 5-1/2" below is where Jcap had his best results...

Is a $1400.00 Herring better than a $850.00 Hydro or Maximus?? Or, what does a Herring do?? Bow lift, stern lift, etc.?

Did the 1.5 spacer give you bow lift, stern lift, stability or any other not features ? (( I was told spacers can give bow lift ? ))

Well K, you got me, all I know is that they are supposed to be fast...
I would imagine that the more blades you have the more stern lift.
My only experience running a 5 blade was with OH-Zone's P5-X and that prop did definitely lift the stern more than a Bravo 1. I also felt that the P5-X lifted the whole boat out of the water more than a B1.
Hey OH-Zone, did you try that Maximus yet?

It does seem to carry the bow a little higher, but I have not had much time in the boat since I installed the spacer. Handling is a diff. also. Once on plane and I start trimming the boat will act as if I'm putting down a tab. Hard to explain, but I will have more time in the boat this weekend.

Pat, $1400.00 is a lot of $ to buy a used prop that I cannot exchange if it does not work out. For some reason it is killing me to try a 5 blade again, even though the 1st time I lost top end.

Pat;
I did try the prop. It was too much prop, thats why I didn't sent it to you. Awesome cruse though I couldnt't get the engine over 4700-4800 without overtriming it with speeds in the low 70's. Lots of blade area on that prop and carried the boat nicely. Brett suggested a smaller diameter....
