JC should take that 34 and make a 27 version. Same deck and dash.... Single 496 with CMI headers.... that would be sick....

Here is my idea for pricing:

21 Legend $37,000 w/ 300Hp
24 Superboat $47,000 w/ 375 hp
27 Superboat $57,000 w/425 hp
30 Y2K $67,000 w/525 hp

I think its a good spread in terms of spacing between models, horsepower and price. Works out fairly well, doesn't it ??

CMC, I wish the Y2K could be that price with a 525 HP, when you get done with ext steering, K-planes and some goodies, your over 67 k, I would say 67.000 with a 496/375 and the options.

JC will not rig a 30' powered by a 525HP engine without having external steering rams among other required options for a 75-80mph boat.
It would simply not be safe...
I would guess by the time you are done, a 30' with a 525 complete is going to cost over 80K.

Again most builders have a starting price. EVERYTHING additional is extra. I was just trying to show that there can be spacing in a product line.

Sure, I understand your logic.
Have you ever met John and or visited his shop?
While we all seem to agree there would be a market for a 27' Superboat model, it's not going to happen.

Good but 27 will (if ever) probably be more especially the 30.
